Son Fred is north-east of Sencelles and has some special features compared to other talaiots. The curved stone above the entrance corridor is striking. It gives the entrance the appearance of an entrance gate. Inside, too, there is something atypical for Mallorca. The column is not exactly in the center but a little closer to the entrance. A specialty that is only known from a few Talaiots in Menorca.

The opening of the stones above the entrance suggest that this talaiot once had a second floor, the entrance to which was just above the present gate.

As far as I know, further excavations and repairs have been carried out here in the meantime, which unfortunately cannot yet be seen in my photos. I am curious to see what secrets this talaiot will reveal to us.
